Yushh’s dubbed-out, atmospheric compositions are unmistakable. Focusing primarily on sound system-indebted low ends and phantasmic melodic details, they give the illusion of comprising infinite layers of sound; no eight-bar mimicking the last as if we’re listening to her experiment in real-time.

The main melodic elements of “I Don’t Care Until I Do” are made up of parts recorded from UDO Audio’s Super6, with vocal recordings processed then ran through a space echo before further processing in Ableton. The drums are heavily re-sampled - initially creating sequences on the Elektron Analog Rytm from samples recorded from instruments at home (Cajon & Shakers).

Yushh’s music has found a home on vital UK dance music labels such as Rhythm Section, All Centre and her own imprint Pressure Dome. Her debut EP Look Mom No Hands, released on Wisdom Teeth in February 2023, was tipped by publications such as Resident Advisor and Juno, and inspired comparisons to Aphex Twin, and Ikonika.
